Default What shocks for Top Force?

Or MantaRay?

On my hybrid MantaRay/Top Force that I ran at the Revival last year, I still have the yellow shocks, but they're not the best, so was wondering what you guys are using?

Without breaking the bank of course

I have Tamiya Hicaps on my Top Force although its a shelf queen. I converted a Tamiya Vajra to Egress before the re-release and put Kyosho Lazer ZX5FS shocks on the Egress. I also put a set on an Optima resto project. Nice shocks and come in a number of lengths. Not up to the minute so probably not that expensive.

Going back a bit earlier I use the Durango small bore front shocks on my Tamiya Terra Scorcher. The Durango small bore front springs also fit nicely on the Tamiya CVA shocks if you want to tune them up a bit.

Tamiya Big Bores (54504 / 54505) are VERY nice indeed, superbly made, nice and smooth and hardly ever leak, mine have been on my Toppy for over a year now, even bought some for my Dyna Storm I'm that impressed with them.
Yes they're not cheap, about £60 for a full set, the only downer is they DON'T come with springs???? (which I find a bit weird, but no doubt a money spinner for Tamiya!!!) so you will have buy some or you may some spare off other cars.
Try Asia Tees / Jazhobby / ebay
