Yup toshiba, ive had mine for years and have dropped, hit, punched and thrown as well as had coffee and beer all over it. This machine keeps on working and have no idea how it can withstand the punishment I have given it. Worth the money, and you can pick a good one for the price your after. Also a great games machine.

Good luck finding the parts to upgrade stuff like graphics cards. If you go whacking in better units you will cause other problems, like over heating and random shutdowns due to extra power consumption, be careful.

Second hand apple macbook lol....
can't go wrong except for games playing.

If you really want to upgrade for games etc, its much better to go for a decent tower/desktop, this way you can upgrade cooling etc etc and graphics card/memory as you go.

See Southwell's comments.

I just purchased a Samsung NC10 - very pleased with it, great portability but no DVD drive. I copy from DVD to my external HDD then back to the NC10 for installing software.
I sold my full size IBM laptop to buy this and dont miss the 15.4" screen

Ive had HP gear and its always been good too.
Not a Dell fan personally as far as their desktop hardware goes - its dire. Not had much Dell laptop experience though.

That 10.2" laptop is the best purchase i have made in ages. Mobile enough to take anywhere.

I love old IBM machines, just because they have a trackpoint nipple and I hate the touchpads. IBM usually have both.

You can get a decent T42 for peanuts and, they run well enough. Not games though.
