Default Posting lipos

I've noticed loads of people selling lipos in the for sale section. With the new posting restrictions how are they sending them?
Is it just a case of not telling the post office what's inside?
I've got a couple of set of orion saddles i need gone

Yeah either don't tell them whats inside or use a different service such as parcel2go and use Hermes or something for a fraction of the cost of Royal Mail.

Lipos can be sent within the UK via Royal Mail providing they are sent IN or WITH an electrical device.

If it's a hard-case lipo, you could argue that the lipo cells are contained within an electrical device (the hard case), so are safe for posting. I know some shops take this approach.

I had a soft-case delivered by Royal Mail once that came with a single LED, so I guess they could claim it was sent with an electrical device. Probably not within the spirit of the rules, but within the wording, which I thought was a very F1 thing to do

Whichever approach you take, you do need to tell the counter staff that there's a lipo inside, and it needs to be very well packaged, otherwise you'll be in serious trouble if it gets damaged and causes a fire.

The problem we have found with Royal Mail is if they feel like it they just dispose of the Lipo and don't tell you this has happened, this leads to upset customers and making a loss on the item. This is why we will only send via courier, not all couriers will accept Lipos and they should have warning labels attached.

It's turning out to be a mahoosive pain in the arse trying to find a courier that will send them. Most places don't want to touch them
Maybe it's just worth keeping them as a spare

Errr, Have you checked the list of things Hermes won't ship recently?

You may wish to reconsider using Hermes in future.

Just about noone seems to want to ship any batteries unless they're fitted to the item they are meant to power.
