Default novak gtb combo ! Was it to cheap ?

I have just won an auctio for a gtb and 7.5r system and I got it for £90 buy it now ! Motor is brand new (replacement) and esc only done a dozen meetings. This seems very cheap ? As new it's £200

Does anyone know for a good review for a gtb ? Googles with no luck

Will I have to cut my b4 shell to get it in ? Or can you get shells with a bump for the taller esc ?

you dont have to cut the shell to fit it in there. if you take the fan off the top an glue one into the chassis instead pointing down the car at it, it fits in nicely, and i have been using one in mine for a couple years now.

dont know of any reviews but thats a good price :P

i have 2 gtb one that i have been using for 2 seasons now an one that i got at the start of this year, had abit of trouble with the new one through impact damage. but the old one has taken its place in both cars i run through the year and held up nicely.

i find sometimes though that it does have abit of a lack of break but its still a good unit

Novak warrenty is only 120 days.

I think this is why the price of the GTB is so low second hand.

The deal you got is cheap, but not very cheap.

yes i noticed it on ebay early today
i would say it a good price for those gtb combo u bought and get u up and running!
7.5r motor is best ideal for 2wd buggy

when I first bought a new novak gtb with 4.5t(stupid fast) 2 year ago for 185 pound which they are still same price now

Yes, the little fan is an option, Novak 25 x 25 x 10mm, 5651 for 2 in a pack, they do come in singles, they are computer fans, you may find an alternative, a lot stronger than the original transparent plastic fan.

120 days is not very much !
I have read that lrp and nosram sphere seem to pop more often that the gtb.
Is it the a heat build up that makes these esc pop ? Or is it the ruff and tumble ?
I have seen the gtb's go for 100 on there own on eBay !

It's been 14 years since I raced last ! So I am almost done and it's all come of eBay LOL
I got a nosram 4 star also which is about the same as a 4.5 from what I have read. I think it's a bit hot for 2wd especaily as I will be very rusty ! But I was really good back in the day so hope it does not take to long to get the skills back !
