Default B4 front wheel and tyre combo issues

Hi all.
Getting back In the game at the mo and setting up an AE x6 squared. Now I bought some DE racing borrego rims in black (wanted black rims) and some Schumacher front ribs as I'll be on astro when I finally get going (hoping to join Silverstone in the new year) but I've found that the bearing fitment rims are too wide for the schue ribs. I've looked online and find that people cut the rims Down in the inside but surely this leaves nothing to glue to?

And advice appreciated. Also do I use inserts? Rears are fine. It seems that B4 bearing fit rims are limited.

Thanks guys.

The problem you have is wanting black wheels.! There are loads of white narrow bearing wheels, from associated, proline, schumacher etc..
Cutting wheels down, is ok and works fine. It was necessary until recently, for the new b5m etc with hex front wheels.. You just cut down adjcent to the inner wheel rib....this leaves one rib and the inner part of wheel to glue to.. With narrow front tyres, you don't need inserts..

Default Ok

Yeah. Wanting black has been the issue I guess.
So if I trim up to the inner rib and then use that as an out rib? Is that right?

Many thanks.

Default Rib

Yep ... to chip in that's correct ... Trim to the inner rib and you'll be fine!
