Default Sanwa 451R receiver wire

Hi just after a little bit of advice if possible, my receiver wire has been chewed up at the end and most of the exposed part at the end has snapped off, I have cut back some of the coaxial to expose the inner grey wire again but it is now about an inch shorter, have tested and all seems to be working ok but will this cause interference or range issues, any advice will be helpful as I really don't want to shell out another £70 on a new one if I don't need to
Cheers

Sanwa say dont shorten the wire but they all do anyway, im sure you can get replacements as i think its just on the end of a small connector in the receiver.

I've broke the aerial wire on mine replaced it with one 100mm long one and when it's in the car it does'nt come above the shell works fine and the aerial does'nt need to be a Sanwa one as long as it's got the same connector on the end it will be fine

Yeah, it works if you shorten the wire, and expose the antenna inside the coaxial just the same length it was originally.
I'm not sure does it affect the range.

You can also look for used laptops, disassemble those and then take Wlan coaxial cables from those. Same connector and the wire is a bit thicker.

My buying tips is to get the original receiver cable from HK shops, or the aftermarket (cheaper, shorter) grey one available there also.
