Default B-max4 lll help

Hi need help ,

I am building my kit and I have tiny play in my drive gear is this ok ?

do you mean the spur gear in the housing/motorplate?
if so put a small piece of insulation tape onto the #B4-304M - Center Mount Plate right where the bearings touch. this takes out the slight bit of play and stops the slipper/spur assembly moving with motor load.

try shimming the diff and crown gear then. mine was fine built as per the instructions, but you may need to add a few extra shims?

I built my kit as per the instructions and decided there was too much play. Then added the extra shims at were supplied that go behind the pinion gear. The car sounded like a bag of hammers so I took them out so it was as per the instructions and it was perfect.

Since the gears are metal they can have a lot more play without stripping. Make sure you grease them and they'll be fine.
