Default Mamba 5700 Motor

Hello everybody. I am new to the thread and I just got a Kyosho Lazer ZX5. I have been racing a losi 8ight-T for for a while and thougth a 4wd electric would be fun.
Anywho, I was wondering if a Mamba 8.5 brushless motor would be a good motor for the ZX5 as I was planning on getting the Sidewinder with the 8.5 motor package. This is roughly a 9 turn motor I have been told. I plan on racing it on a small 80'x40' hard clay indoor track. Any thoughts.
Thanks in advance.
Pete

Im not sure where you get the 8.5 from. Mamba motors are rated in Kv coming in 4600, 5700, 6900 and 7700.

The 5700 is about a 9/10T brushed motor. It should be fine in a ZX5

My bad, i meant their 5700. I'm getting used calling motors by their turn count as I have an Orion 13.5 as well.
Thank you for the reply.

Did you got the 5700kv combo? I have one on my way for my Lazer ZX-5 and am really anxious to hear all info available from it.

I thought 17t pinion with stock 78t spur would be pretty good?

Yes 17 Teeth is perfect for the 5700 combo Had it my self in my lazer... Now I have put an Lrp TC Spec in it to go with an Orion 4,5 T vortex engine... Works well, Insane fast even on 5 cells
