Default Optima Mid Custom

Morning,

Following on from the completion of my Optima Mid a couple of days ago, which turned out very well, I'm now gearing up to start my Optima Mid Custom. It's a ebay buy and looks to be in very good shape apart from a bit of dust and grime. The bodies it came with are a little tatty but I may use these to run it. The tyres are only about a 1/3 worn and a couple of the wheels are a little scuffed.

So I'm waiting on a bearing kit then it will be a good old strip down and rebuild. I may even run this one as it doesn't have the sentimental value of the Mid.

Parts required at the moment:
Two narrow fronts
Bumper
LWB belt covers.
Suitable ESC

Anyway if you are interested watch this space

Charlie

Well as I currently suffering from a bad case of the man flu, I decided instead of stripping the Custom down, to get it up and running, why not, it may be the last time.

Anyway after a couple of hours tinkering and trying to charge 25yo batteries it has actually taken a turn around the kitchen. Quite impressive really considering it's age. It could really do with new shock oil and grease but for now it's fine. Perhaps tomorrow once I have a fully charged stick it may go outside.

It's kept me quite for a couple of hours anyway!
