It's a 3rd party (or DIY) conversion to brushless power.
It has nothing to do with Losi direct, so you would have to buy the nitro kit and then a conversion separately. Hope that helps.

There is an all electric Losi 8ight coming out as a factory kit. They are also making 14.8v Lipo stick packs, 1/8 scale motors and speed controls. I heard the middle of October is the release date.

I have been doing research. Monster RC has a conversion kit, Castle Creations has the Monster Mamba 1/8 scale ESC, there are a bunch of available motors with 5mm shafts that can be used. This is only the begining. I will wait for the losi conversion kit to come out. I plan on using a Neu Motors Brushless motor. I am undecided on the speed control. Will probably use Max amps 14.8v battery.
A guy at my local track is using a Tekin R1 pro ESC with added capacitors to clean up in the 1/8th scale buggy class. Really fast. i can't wait! |

Dunc - he's talking about the new E-Eight that Losi will be offering as an electric race roller from the factory.
zipperfoot - I've seen the Losi guys testing the thing here in SoCal, and it looks pretty insane. I'm personally not sold on the Xcelorin stuff though. I'd like to go Tekin R1/RS + Neu.
