Default Which Motor/ESC?

Hi there,

I have just purchased a Schumacher Cougar SV from ebay to use for racing at my local clubs. I already have a transmitter, received and servo and have a budget of £70 left.

I am after a motor, esc, lipo's and charger to complete my package and have been advised it is best to start in the 540 motor class with a 17.5t motor.

Please may I have some advice as to what I can get that would be in my budget, don't mind at all if it is second had but just don't know enough as I am new to 1/10 buggy.

Regards,

Tim

Hi mate you can pic up a speed passion esc n motor new from model sport for 69 pounds or look on here for one but check how low turn the esc can go for motors as you don't want to buying a new esc when you get faster.ive just set a sx3 up for my 8 year old with second hand stuff your best off with a 10.5 turn motor to start n prob won't go any lower than 6.5 .hope that helps
