Why didn't Vettel & Alonso get a penalised for the leaving the track at Monza? Both went outside the white line when entering the pits.

I dont think it counts as there is the large white space which is avalible to use. Kinda like when you can have 2 cars side by side in the pits if its wide enough.

As long as they dont go over the line coming out i dont think it matters.

There isn't a rule against crossing the white line entering the pits, the only rule is concerning the white line when leaving the pits.

So that's why they didn't get penalised - they didn't break the rules! As a look through the rulebook would have easily revealed. But hey, it's easier to let other people do the work...
