Hi, the main pro of a front one way diff is the increased steering. The main con is that you only get rear wheel braking. It really depends on what surface/track you're racing on and your driving style.

I used to run one in my Tamiya 501X on wooden floor and it was a nightmare to drive so I quickly took it out of the car, but that was because of the slippery surface and my driving style but some people at my club drove with very little braking anyway so they were able to used the one way and liked it but they were generally having to focus harder, otherwise they would panic at any mistake they made and end up backwards, while as if you were on a mid to high traction surface like carpet or astroturf, it wouldn't matter that you only had rear wheel braking, so it would probably be brilliant to drive.

Hope this sort of helps!
