how do i get an image in my sig ?

Upload the image to a hosting server like photobucket and add the URL to your signature in the User CP

Large images aren't forum friendly though - thats why i removed mine.

Last time I tried that, it didn't work.

You need to follw the distructions on your user CP and use the sig pic upload feature, then type this into your sig box: [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
