charger review

so looking for a new charger and was wondering if anyone has one of these chargers

if so what are they like they any good or are they rubbish or what other charger would ou recommend for £40-£65

Their B6 is good, available from loads of manufacturers in different colours like Core, of which many or most are done by them, but cheap not so good copies are also available.

yea dont want the b6 was wanting something different and like said more like an lrp charger but with out the massive price difference. so do people recon skyrc are ok then as you say the b6 is good charger this should be as equal then

and seeing as one in uk seems to have one will do a review on it as well just so there is some info on it also got some gens ace saddle batteries on the way wasgoing for the 5100 but sold out so got the 4800 so will see what they are like as well as only cost £22 for them see how they compare to other well know brands

im getting it in from hong kong as it worked out to only be £65 instead of the £95 i seen advertised at southport the other weeks. just downloaded the manual to get familiar with setting and also the pc software which you can charge through the pc with so looks like its a decent charger. has normal setting like charge, discharge, fast charge, storage and a balance mode. only thing im still not sure about yet is the voltage settings for the batteries not sure if its v/cell's or weather its v/battery. so if its a 2cell should the setting be 4.2 per cell or is it 8.4 overall but will keep reading the manual to see if i can see it anywhere. but yea will take pics and everything of whats in the box and so on.

there a really good charger,usb ports quiet nice as well tops up moby pretty quick
charge current is up to 12amp,discharge is 5amp they have a built in servo tester and speedo motor tester,charge voltage is set via 1s 2s so sets it self to 4.2 or 8.4 and so on pretty std stuff really the balancer on these is bob on never been over voltage once,as far as stuff in the box

yea only thing i wish that was extra in the box would be the temperature sensor. but looking online they are only about £3 anyway

well its finaly arrived will get some pic up during the week been to buisy to upload them. first thoughts on the charger.

its bigger than i thought it was going to be but screen is sensative and doesnt need to be pushed hard fans arnt to loud either compared to my muchmore charger. also has some nice features to test servos and esc and motors havent tried the motor one yet but servoe tester seems ok. only down side like i said before was could do with the temp guage being included as everything els is there. so once i get some time will get the pics up and sort out the review a bit better and deeper into the settings

Just wondering if this could chat me lead acid battery. As pices one up from work today and wanted to know what settings to put it on if it can is the code a pb battery as this charger will charge. Lipo life pb nimh nicd lilon and I'm not sure on the shortened one for lead acid if so what settings would be best

Just set it to pb which is the correct term for lead acid.....should be ok..

what sort of amp should i have it set to as never charge them before with this type always been a proper car charger but dont have one any more

A basic car charger, charges about 4amps , so that should be fine..

there are the pics. the charging lead doesnt come with a plug which is handy as you can then solder what plugs you use unlike some other chargers come with deans or bullets or even old school tamiya. the balance plug is very good due to a wide range of different types and feels a good quality as well. the graphs while charging are also good handy to keep an eye on low cells or odd packs and like said before the screen is very responsive and hope fully will stay that way but will be uesed a few times now over the next few months at the track and also at home so will keep updates on how the screen holds up as this is one of the thinks which people arnt sure about with touch chargers. anyone got a questions or any other request regarding this charger ask away will try my best to answer

Looks like hitec have brought into it as well so far so good just trying to figure out how to charge my battery for at the track 12v car battery but not sure it the battery I got is any good as its used and cost me nothing
