Team Losi XXX-S

Hi all,

Just bought a couple of the Losi XXX-S E racers from DMS-Racing at an awsome price. I was awear that they run on a 64DP spur gear which has the drive attachment on the spur gear too unlike the XXX-4 does.

I was wondering is it possible to get a 48DP spur gear for the Losi XXX-S or can you fit the XXX-4 Slipper system with Kevlar spur gear and what not? - Thinking if this is will work it would be better than the standard kit comes with.

If anyone can shed light on it that would be great

As long as I don't have XXX4 or XXXS I won't tell you if you can put slipper from 4 to S. It just doesn't make any sense to me. You don't need slipper for TC.

Losi makes 48DP spurs as well (it just took me 2 minutes to find it on losi.com page) - http://www.losi.com/Search/Default.a...20xxx-s%20spur

Garry, your cars both left today, they are 48dp mate as standard in the kit, not 64!! They come with the yellow 88 tooth spur fitted with optional 90 (orange) and 86 (red) spurs also available (and in stock.......of course).

You can fit the slipper off the XXX4 but a) you dont need it in a TC, b) if you race to BRCA rules you are not allowed to fit one, c) it is quicker without one since it is lighter as it is

If Business Post do their job, they should be with you in the morning mate

Thats great news Darren true hero & Super helpful as always. I'll call tomorrow round 11 ish and order some bits and bobs then mate. Speaking to the nice young lady today when ordering i was after some spray paint and she wasnt too sure if it could be sent with the order as its compressed gas and isnt really safe to send through the post - I thought while i was on the phone if i could maybe order paint id ask. With that note on the slipper thats cool. I didnt now that it would be illigal on BRCA terms haha. The spur gears i thought were 64DP after having bought one of a club member ages and ages ago which was of similer spec to these E-racer ones but if they come as 48DP thats awsome .

Not really "up" or "with" the touring cars or call it common sence regarding performance with a slipper clutch like that on the car LOL. Im rather looking forward to racing one again in september !

Garry, look forward to your call. I think a can of white paint may of accidently fell in your box , dont know how (ssshhh)

We cant send paint on its own since its aerosol state but in a large box with two kits and a load of spares I think it got lost quite easily

I didn't know if it's same conceptions of fitting inside car. So I couldn't tell you.
