I don't know if there will be much interest in this since it's an American racing circuit. But judging by an add in X-treme rc Magazine, and Associated's own www.rc10.com, It would appear that they will soon be joining the likes of Traxxas in the world of 1/10 scale 2wd CORR race truck rc kits!

I know here in America we could use some "toy grade" manufacturers. I know for me when i was a kid the old Tamiyas, with their futuristic body styling and stuff, were what interested me. And now they really seem to look like toys, which I guess is what got me interested in them. So I guess what I mean is, companies need to take a cue from Tamiya and make some "Child appealing" cars and kits.

there are some body off shots floating around now.
it looks really good! 8th scale rallycross based. with regard to them being a toy maker, I don't believe that is the case, I think this is squarely aimed at creating the 'next' scale touring cars. Remember those things that Tamiya made, the great looking scale touring cars. lets hope the rules for this potential new or support class stay tight and give good focus on door handle to door handle racing! EDIT - and you know what, I think this could be the next big class, maybe not in the UK, but I think it will be big, Traxxas have their Slayer, AE have this, and Losi have a 'late model dirt oval thing' but I am certain they just need to mould a few parts and pull a CORR body and they will have one too, and we know if thats all it takes for Losi to make a new car it will be done! |

this is RC8 based, the Losi dirt oval thing is 8ight based, I am sure it would only take Losi a few parts changes and a body mould for their 8ight to get theirselves a CORR kit, Losi are very good at doing that, I think we will see one from them sooner or later.
for referance, not the mini ver, the 8ight based version http://www.losi.com/Products/Default...rodID=LOSA0809 EDIT2 - AE SC8 it looks like it has on on-board glow ignighter... hopefully an electric starter motor, that means on track starting! cool! ![]() |

Don't feel sorry.
these certainly wont be for everyone, however, imagine how much new interest these will drum up, looks like they have these things at the CORR races, Traxxas have the BIGGEST logo on the side of a CORR truck, RC10.com on the lights of the RedBull one, these look just like the big ones that the fans went there to see, and they can take home a high performace RC version or at least go to the shop after to get one. granted - thats not really UK based, but growing the hobby/sport in any country help worldwide recognition. and the SC8 I would asume shares quite a few parts with the RC8, so if people then want to jump into full 8th Rallycross competition they will be fairly familar with how the car works and is built/setup etc... |
