Just some advice needed. bought the 69.99 code radio and receiver but had issues since I moved outdoors, with reception, ive tried 2 receivers, and rebinding etc, works ok close to me, ive even installed a new aerial but if I get to the other side of the track its intermittent and I get twitchy controls. aprox 20m
I got the the 2nd race with a diff receiver from my 2wd and it worked as I popped it on the grid but not when I was on the stand. 5m I gave up. im thinking faulty radio, but wondered if anybody had any ideas if this was common for this radio, or any settings I could look at, batteries say strong. I think im going to buy a spectrum anyway and have the shop take a look at this one, thanks

thanks Thark got your PM, may sound dumb question but would low Batteries cause this, it isn't reporting low, but further away its bad close its ok ???? anybody comment.
I,ll try new ones. but weird. I,ll ping shop and see if I can return it after ive tested it at home. How long should Batteries last in the code RC units, the units showing 11.6 on the front and not showing low at all, or is that readout not worth the paper its on ![]()

I had that, it was absolutely dreadful and cost me a shell, a bearing, and a hub carrier. It got so bad I just had to get a different system. Glad to hear it wasn't just me

lots of people have no problem with them. mine was fine, receiver a bit sensitive to brown outs but no worse than Spektrum. just ran it with a capacitor to buffer it a bit. There will always be a few duds. take it back if its faulty!

Yeah mike at MB said to fit the spektrum cap to it, it looks like the servo could be causing voltage to drop and thus cause this to do what it's doing, I have to say, I never noticed it on the yokomo, and that does use a lower servo
The k1 is running the higher savox 1258 where as the other cars I have run the 23 quid spektrums. I suppose I can give the cap a shot for a few quid, sounds like a possible solution
