Exclamation Royal Mail

Is It Just Me Or Dose The Royal Mail Just Seem To Be Getting Worse , 1st class delivery is taking 3-4days. They put a red card through saying come pick it up you go and its not there , 3 days later you get it delivered And Sometimes Even Special Delivery Takes 2Days However This Is Rear And Most Things You Send Via SD They Don't Loose Maybe Its Because They Only Have 24hrs To Muck Up! LOL . Anyway From Now On I Think I'll Send Everything Special Delivery

Well I Think I Have Finished Nattering Now

If SD takes longer that 24hrs you can claim a refund, as it is a 24hr delivery service.

one of my neighbours from down the road delivered my parcel for me last week as the postman couldnt read the address correctly .

Also some thing i ordered from the bay turned up 1 week later on 1st class and even had the postage stamped date from the week previous.

Ive had a few deliveries recently, mostly by Royal Mail - and even something from Play in Jersey arrived next day. I was thinking the service was improving for me to be honest.

Although the deliveries are no longer morning, I remember when post arrived before I set off to school. But now they are more like 11-12noon. Which I don't think is right.

I got to admit, my locak sorting office parcel man, always knocks on my door by 7:50am, as I do tend to get one or two parcels, lol, Parcel Force are the worst though, as they generally turn up any time.

I got to admit, for what you pay, the service isn't too bad, and I never send anything important less than recorded, and ALL shells go Special Delivery.

To be fair to them we send on average 75 - 100 small packets and/or boxs a day (375/500 per week) with Royal Mail and if we get more than 2 - 3 complaints a week we have had a BAD week, which is not bad considering.

We also send around 30/40 boxs a week with our courier (Business Post) yet we still get 2 - 3 complaints per week from their service even though they hanlde less than 10% of what Royal Mail do for us. Royal Mail get on average 85p per item we send with them across the board, yet Business Post charge between £6.75 and £9.75 per delivery for their services and still make more screw ups percentage wise (delayed deliveries, lost or damged parcels, misrouted parcels - eh Blitzboy!!).........

As for Parcel Farce (sorry Force) they are absolutely useless (reminds me...where is our Vampire LIPO shipment that was "out for delivery" today according to their system), they deliver approx 10/15 parcels to us each week (mainly our import goods from the USA, Germany, Japan and France) and on average manage to screw up (in one way or another) approx 10 of these per week!!!!!!

I Agree They Have Always Been Good Before Its Just The Last Couple Of Weeks I Get No Post All Week And Then Get It In One Big Bundle On Friday / Saturday AS For Parcel Force I Agree They Are Absoultly Usless I Have Sent about 10 Parcels With Them And They Have Totaly Lost 1 Damaged 2 Others And 7 Of Them Were Late And I Mean Mega Late Like A Month Late And By Then The Customer Wants A Refund The Moral Of The Story Is To Send With RM Special Delivery If You Need It ASAP If Not 1st Class

John

You'd all miss it when its gone.........

I think its a great service......who else is gonna deliver your mail to the door, normally next day ! anywhere in the UK ! for the price of a first class stamp!

As for lost post or delayed post when you look at the volume of letters and parcels they move, the stated percentages of lost post is minimal. Not very helpfull if it yours thats lost i know, but dont write off the race for one mistake !

You sure a hell wont get it from TNT ! might get it next day to a PO box to a town near you, then you gotta go out to get it.

I worked for them for a short while many years ago. I could tell you some stories that might surprise a few!
On the other hand, our service isn't too bad, certainly better than it was a few years ago when it was literally 50/50 whether something you sent would actually make it to it's destination.
