Default Losi ball cups on 501X

Will the original tamiya ball stud fit the Losi ball cup? and will the orignal turnbuckle fit on Losi ball cup? THX

I tried this Eddie, and it was really tight...so tight the ball cup wouldn't move at all!

I had to fit Losi ball studs in order to use Losi cups.

Russ.

I'd agree with Jimmy on this. The losi ball studs are imperial and although can be made to fit in the metric threads of the TRF, they tend to come loose a lot and the fit is less than ideal plus not good for the thread obviously.

I'll see if I can post up a few part #'s for you for the Yokomo stuff that you will need.... and as far as the Tamiya turnbuckles working with the Losi ball cup... your answer is yes ... they work just fine

I have no idea...as I just replaced the TRF turnbuckles with Lunsford ones.

Try the HotBoddies website for the manual in PDF, find the part number, find a shop - google is your friend. Flea-bay might have them too.

You need to get at least two more packs of cells too - which is probably more important right now.

I noticed you repeaked the same pack 4 times on Sunday and you did it at 8A!!! This is really really bad - you're asking for trouble, especially with those IB4200 (which have been known to explode causing a lot of damage!!!) .

If you carry on like that it will end in tears for sure. Ever seen an exploded pack of IBs? Not good and very dangerous!

http://www.oople.com/forums/showthre...=4200+exploded

The manufacturers recommend charging at 4A max, most people do 5A, but at 8A you're actually quite lucky to have not suffered a problem yet. At best your cells won't last very long charging at 8A and you'll need new ones sooner, which can get expensive.

Keep an eye on the for sale section on oOple, someone will be getting rid of some that should be in reasonable condition. Or you could post a wanted add.

Add a comma "," to the end of the link in the browser, then it works. The forum knocks this off the link for some reason.

There are these too, you get more and they are supposed to be stronger. They are the ones that come on the Worlds kit.

http://www.mirageracing.com/product/HB61582,

http://www.mirageracing.com/product/HB61581,

Need to add the comma to those too in the address bar on your browser.

Eddie,

Post a wanted add in oOple's wanted section here:

http://www.oople.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=7

Someone will get in touch if they have some for sale. This is the cheap, short term solution. You can expect to pay between £10 and £20 for a pack, depending on how good it is. It's worth spending more in the long run.

Saying that though, even with fairly old cells (like 1 season old) you won't really notice the difference, especially with that 4.5 brushless.

People at our level don't need competition packs just yet!

Failing that you could just buy some new ones from these places:

http://demonpowerproducts.co.uk/index.php?cPath=46

http://www.tjcells.co.uk/

http://www.nrgdynamics.co.uk/index.htm

You may find it hard to find a place that has cells in stock, but these ones here are in stock and are BRCA legal for 2008:

http://demonpowerproducts.co.uk/prod...oducts_id=2765

I'm quite tempted by some of these Yuntong ones myself for £33 a pack!

Anyone tried them?

Got some losi ball cups and Hot bodies D4 studs for use on my Tamiya but found them a very tight fit which make the suspension and in particular the steering very stiff.

Am I missing a trick or something. i have greased them a little but found does not make much difference.

Any ideas what to do would be much appreciated. At the moment looking at putting the old set up back on to solve the problem

Yes these:

http://www.losipartshouse.com/servle...ty-Ball/Detail

and these

# HB61581 - Ball Stud 4.3x10.3mm Cyclone D4 (8Pcs
# HB61582 - Ball Stud 4.3x13mm Cyclone D4 (8Pcs)

The joints are really stiff so something must be up?

Problem solved, polished the ball studs with 400 wet and dry paper, worked fine after that
