The motor can looks very similar to Novak doesn't it.

How come there's no 5.5T Danny? Seems an odd wind to miss out

Is it just a coincidence that the motors look exactly the same as Novak ones, the ESC spec sounds similar [if not, exactly the same] and it's foot print is only 1mm smaller?

Looks good though!

Honestly im not to sure why they left that one out. Just had the 6.5 up an down the road an it seems pretty good to me, very smooth which i like.

guess the proof will be in the pudding at the weekend

Ran mine in my TC (4.5) and 2wd (6.5) last week and was well impressed! Bloomers had a go with the TC and he too loved he feel and speed of it. Cant wait for them to become BRCA approved, I think they may well become popular then...............especially at the price they are at.

Thumbs up I got mine today!!

Thanks to Dms mine arrived today. My B4 is still in bits and needing a good clean. Now deliberating to wait for a vortex shell or heat up my unpainted shell. Who has done this before, How much can i stretch it- enough to get the speedo under?

Got one to play with as well

Am recovering well after having fallen off my chair when I checked out the price.

No serious damage to me or my wallet - The combo price is amazing at £134.99 RRP. Yeah - that's right a 6.5T motor AND ESC - complete with cooling fan atop the ESC.

Can't wait to get it installed and for it to be homologated.

No the esc for the Kv rated sensorless motors is different to the sensored speedo for 3.5 to 13.5 sensored motors

On overall performance the Sphere (just) but it is nearly twice the price, but on value for money and "very good" performance the Losi all the way

Hi Chaps, I bought one of these combos last week, a 6.5 sensored system and when I tried to use it at the weekend, I could not get it to work. Me and Craig Harris set it up numerous times, sometimes it would take the calibration and sometimes it would'nt. When it did take the setup calibration and we thought it was fine, it would run for a second or two then just stop, if I let go of the throttle stick for a few seconds it would then go again, then stop after another second or so, and thats it! One point is though, that it didnt seem to stop if i was holding the car without the wheels on the floor.

Anyone got any ideas? I dont want to send it back and look like an idiot lol.

Thanks for any help guys.

Sounds like something to do with the sensors?
Have you tried another sensor wire?

I had exactly the same problem with my speedo when the capacitor was bust. It would run fine in my hand but as soon as it hit the ground and started pulling more amps the speedo switched off.

You can try soldering on a new capacitor yourself. the layout of the speedo looks similar to Novak so it's all easy to get to. The one included is a 16v 8200mf I think, so anything of around about that size would work fine and you can probably get hold of one in an electronics hardware shop or model shop.

Be carefull to connect it properly though! If you don't think you're up to it somebody at your local track ought to be able to help you out.

If that doesn't work you might have to send it in.

No is the answer.

Depends if & when the importer has sent them into the BRCA Electric Board for tech inspection. They may not even pass

reply to thread on another forum were I asked a similar question,

Quote:
Not prepared to list any other motors that have been submitted and "not passed" the 10.5 spec Electric Board tests. That's an Electric Board wide stance, so don't expect to approach other members and get any other response

If you really do want to know if a particular motor has been submitted, I suggest speaking to it's UK importer/distributor. They may or may not be prepared to share that information - it's their call.

We do know there are a number of other 10.5 motors due to be submitted in the near future, and well in advance of the 1/12th National season (which is why I assume you're asking Glenn).

In the meantime we have the Nosram and Novak to race with and learn from

Any new 10.5 motors will be published on the Electric Board site the Monday following approval.

Hope that helps,
