I run the 2500mah LRP Lipo receiver pack, I get almost 2 full days racing from it before I need charge it again . So basic advantages are longer run times and no more discharging/charging, only charging. They are quicker charged too. Just don't forget to unplug it at the end of the day because if you run a Lipo completely flat then it's goosed.
P.S. don't let it go any lower than 6.4v and you'll be grand |

I can't really comment on the heat question as the box on my car is at the front, away from the engine. All you can do is try it and see but the fact that its in a box and I'm sure they would have taken this into consideration when designing the car, I think you will be fine. Perhaps someone that has the car or has run one could comment further.

Lee, i've had both and both are fine, heat is not a problem. I used to have a Lipo with a regulator and now have a Lifepo with no regulator which is just as good.
I dont notice the difference, both last a while i chose the lifepo coz its safer and a bit more durable for the low amount of nitro racing we do Steve |
