Default Petition comments

Maybe ill get told off for creating this thread, delete it if you feel the need too but after reading the comments of the petition created to get josh his license back there seems to be people who have come on here and complained about josh but have not been the model parent themselves.

http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_pe...cgi?JOSH1234&1

I dont want this to get into another rant about Josh`s actions or whatever i just thought it should be brought to peoples attention.

Even Jorn has signed on there, his comments made me laugh a little.

I see what you mean Lee. There is nothing worse than young children running riot, and in the pits we all know there are many innocent items which can do a lot of damage to somebody - imagine if he knocked a soldering iron and tried to catch it.

I'm fairly certain some joker thought he'd be clever when he put that down...
Doubt it was Jorn, as he was off racing when the comment was left.

Sounds intersting.

What happened?

I thought something pretty serious had to occur for the ban card to be pulled out.

Well its a horrible and horrific story where people are mamed for life and children die because of the poisonous gasses in the air and all there skin falls off. But thats only the drive through middlesbrough to the track

(Joke my fellow smoggies)

Josh took a bb gun to his local club and fired a few of the BB`s one person was hit, maybe two, but josh was banned from the club for a year which is fair enough, then the club decided to go to the brca and ask for his license to be revoked.

harsh- we all had paint ball guns in 2005 and shot the crap out of each other and the cars as they drove on the track at nationals .. no one took our licences off us

i got banned from a club for a year and the WRCA regional championship for 6months for hitting some one but it never went to the brca

Yup, totally agree millzy, it should have stayed within the club. But at least josh should get his license back at the end of the year. I think most people do feel sorry for him.

He`s a good lad really

We already had this discussion a while back. If you punish a misdemeanour this way what are you going to do when someone really steps out of line? Kill them???

yes KILL THEM UNTIL THEY DON'T DO IT AGAIN AND IF THEY DO KILL THEM AGAIN
in the usa if someone gets convicted of murder they get life fair anough.
but the judge give them 250 years just incase they are reborn.

so does that mean if they are reborn do they go straight back to jail as soon as they pop out its in to jail with big buba

for american law read teesside.

i think josh (who i don't think i know) was a bit of an arse for taken the thing to the club 'but i think he knows that.
if he was waving the TOY gun around next to my kid i would of asked him to put it away ,and if he didn't i would of just took it off him. (god i'v grown up)

Is it really just a misdemeanour though?

I don't no much about this but firing a pellet gun at an event with members of the public is not only stupid but dangerous. And considering the current climate with regard to weapons it makes all the more stupid.
The fact it hit someone just compounds the issue.

And what in your eyes is 'really out of line'?
It depends on what your assessment of reasonable and unreasonable is I guess.

Personally carrying a weapon, whether and air gun or a knife in a public place and then using it and then actually harming someone with it is pretty serious and if the Police were involved i'm sure he would be in more trouble than some of you realise.

The BRCA have by all accounts done the right thing here IMHO.

Si,

From my understanding, this was a gun that you would be able to get with 5 tokens from a box of cornflakes. It had no power in it at all and was a toy.

Yes he was daft, and yes he shouldn`t have shot it but it should have stayed in the club, i do not know what the club tried to achieve by asking for his license to be revoked by the brca.

Well, if that was the case and it was just a toy then I quite agree the response is over the top.

But hasn't it always been the case that Certain BRCA officials like to throw their weight around from time to time?

??? as i understand it the club banned him then reported it to the brca, the brca have "suspended" his licence till thier meeting later in the year.

the brca have a route of action to follow, in thier meeting they may well take no action! and reisntate him.

without the club another brca/member reporting it to the brca, then the brca would take no action
