Question Slopy front end..any tip

Ts been a while since i changed my "inserts" in the front bulkhead, i have new arms on my car (S4, BJ4WE conversion) front ones...but i dont like it...

So i changed to a new front bulkhead, front hingpinbrace, arms, hingepins and arms...man i have app 4mm slop on my old arms but the new ones with the inserts i say 5-6 (@the wheels) ...the new inserts (for hingpins) is in my opinion real bad...the gap is BIG even in new condition...

So, i want a anwsers

Arms, no i do not think i need new ones..

Hingpins insert YES i need new, but do i dare to order some new? the new i got aint more then a month or two old NIB..and they are Worse then my 6 -10 month oldies.

Can anyone tip me where i can find AE inserts? i think, im not sure they have better fitment..

Hingpin insert fit Perfect in the bulk, but the hingepin holw is waaay to big...

Disapointed

/Thomas

The BJ front end always had a fair bit of slop at the wheel, there is nothing wrong with it, i know rich lowe has changed inserts in the past but said it felt no different and i had done the same during rebuilds and came to the same conclusion.

Its fine and its still a quick car.

Hi Thomas

Recently I've moved to the B44 caster blocks and steering blocks which has made quite a big difference, it's surprising how much of the slop develops between the kingpin screws and the alloy caster block.

On the inside you will find it best to change the hingepin brace and if possible inner hingepins, although the slop comes back pretty quickly so now I don't bother - makes no difference anyway

Not to mention the slop coming from the streering post also.....That plus the castor block slops make the car really sloppy at the front after a few runs even after I changed to new front end parts.

Thanks for the info guys, il be runningém as it is, i found som old Delrinarms(NIB) and a new bulkhead @ home, i mounted it and it felt good.

About the B44 casterblocks they are REAL slopy, i mountedém and it was good, but only after a few packs it is like the car have done 5 races in a row
