Are the Front and Rear CVD bones unique to the BJ4WE? Can I replace the CVD Bones with something equivalent and still be able to mate it with the axles (the ball end), this question is in particular to the front CVD bones...

I haven't tried but if what you said it's true, the BJ4 bone will also fit the B44 axel? I want the BJ4 shiney bone for my B44 axel

The B44 axle does not use an MIP design for it's driveshafts so the BJ4 bone will not fit.

The B44 CVD's fit the BJ4, so it's fairly likely they would fit the other way round as well. You need the entire driveshaft though as the CVD bits are the other way round. |

Thanks for the advise guys. I've decided to stick with the BJ4WE but modify it slightly to accept B44 parts (since they are readily available at the on-site hobbyshop at my local track) of the more commonly broken parts such as the front arms and the front CVDs.
I'm going to buy the B44 front CVA (I don't know what makes it an "A" then a "D" ![]() I think this would mean cutting the hinges down to be shorter length-wise, in order to accomodate the taller lower hinge on the B44 front arms... I think once I get the castors and the steering knuckle, there should be no reason why the B44 CVAs would not work. The B44 hex adapter that comes with the CVA kit is a nice bonus for this mod, since the Rulux wheels requires these... I'm going to continue racing my BJ4WE, I really love this car. The only thing left to get would be the front sleeves for the hingepins. I'll probably stock up on these. I've never chewed one up but I'm always afraid of it getting worn out and the arms becoming wobbly... Who here still races their BJ4WE? Do you guys in England race the B44 instead of the BJ4WE now? I know many of the guys here in the states have switched over to the B44... I'm just not ready yet ![]() |

The reason that I asked the question was because the rear B44 axel is definitely different in terms of length and structure. I like the B44 axel because of the extra blue ring for more wheel support and it's less wobbly. However, it would be nice if the BJ4 shiney bone fits the B44 axel though. |

On my car I have the outer part of a B4 CVD and the blue cone washer. It makes the car about 2mm wider but still fits in the box easily

You could have just put Aero wheels on the front if you wanted it wider
