Default DEX410V3 missing parts?

Just a quick question lads.

Received my DEX410v3 in the post and just started building it, got as far as Bag B, went to look for the diff grease as per instructions and i couldn't find it.

So i thought while i was at it i would look for the diff oil, can't find that either. Any chance diff oil and gear grease all come in one bag that's been missed out my kit?

Or am i the one in the wrong here.

I don't think it comes with grease, only 2 bottles of oil, one for each diff (thicker in the front)

Definitely missing them.

I was confused why the manual says to add diff grease to a couple of parts, even though the diffs are oil filled.

http://www.team-durango.com/pdf/manu...n%20Manual.pdf

if you look at page 15, it says to add gear grease to a part, i just follow manuals to the letter. It then tells you to use it again on page 18 so surely it's meant to be in the kit?

You'll want to grease between the input and crown.

The little pot of grease should be about 25mm in diameter - Marked TD390005, white with green grease.

Default Same problem

I had the same problem with grease and oils missing from the V3 kit.

Call Durango UK, they'll send you out replacements, takes a couple of days though.

Are you sure the grease pot is not in with the aerial tube in one of the ancilliary bags?

Default DEX410v3 Kit

Following on from a thread a couple of a weeks ago i am looking for a definitive answer to one question.

Does the v3 kit come with 10k oil for the front diff and 5k oil for the rear?

The reason i am asking is the manual tells you what you require to complete the car such as the tools, shock oil etc, however there is no mention at all of needing grease or diff oil.

My kit did not contain these and i believe they were missing, so i got JE Models to contact TD on my behalf, who then came back with, "they are not part of the kit, however we will send them as good will".

A 10k diff oil and a small tub of grease turned up quite promptly a couple of days later.

My point is, the manual doesn't say you need to purchase these separately and the manual specifically refers to 10k and 5k oils to be added to the built diffs, so if they are meant to come in the kit, then it wasn't goodwill and TD are still due me a 5k oil from my kit.

Cheers for any advice guys.

2K came in the kits I have had and as far as I am aware, those I know too. Did you get any diff oils in the kit?

I'll add that my experience of TD service has shown them to be exemplary.

Got a reply via JE models again today.

Apparently they weren't in my kit because TD have decided as its a tuneable item they are no longer including it in kits.

I'm sorry but that's an absolute nonsense. You can't do that without adjusting the price to suit and the manual, or at the very least making this public.

Thanks for the offer mate but i finished the build and ran the car yesterday. Just ran 10k front and back. Have bought a 7k for rear for next meeting.

As much as ive had problems, the car was awesome with kit setup.
