Default Looking for a new charger - Team Orion Advantage Touch

So im looking to get another charger. I have been using an LRP Pulsar 3 with an external parrallel balancer for a while now, and do trust LRP gear entirely. But, seeing that the Orion, brand new, is only just over the £100 mark does draw me to it.

So, question is to those using one. How do you find the charger ? Is it as useful as any others on the amrket you know of, easy to use etc ? Have you had any issues with it at all ?

Normal questions I guess, but if you have any other info on the charger that would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help peeps !

John

cheers for the reply. Im thinking more about having 2 chargers as I will be running both 2 and 4wd shortly some week nights. Just makes it easier on charging the cells.

I have had a look for an LRP Pulsar Touch, but cheapest prices average at £190 in the UK, a good £70-80 more than the Orion.

Don't get me wrong, i love the LRP gear, cannot fault it, but likewise the money I would save from not buying the LRP in favour of say the Orion would be one pack of LiPo's

I guess alternatively you could buy more cells and charge them up before racing.

Also you might be able to charge 2 cells under 4s (not done it my self but I can't see why not)

Or get a 4 way charger

I just want to give a few suggestions you might not of looked in to before spending the £$˘

A Pack of LiPo cells are about £60-80 though, so buying more unfortunately wouldnt prove justifiable (2 packs of cells is almost a new charger).

I get where your coming from though. I have even looked to buy another Pulsar 3 as the assumption would be they are alot cheaper now given the touch is out, but alas they are not (still go for about £140-150) then plus the parrellel balancer (about £20).

I will keep my eye out for a deal on an LRP, till then I will have to just be savey charging my cells up

cheers

I see that Kings Lynn models has the Ansmann Xmove 2 dual charger at a real bargain at £69.99. I have one of these and have found it really good, dual charger as well so you could charge two packs at the same time. The only issue is that it's only got a 12 voly input so you would need a seperate power supply to charge from mains.
