Default What buggy do i get?

New to electric. Been away for 10 years, always used to race nitro 1/10 and 1/8

What is the best value car rtr brushless 1-10 scale for indoor buggy type. Something I can build on as I get back into it without having to buy again.

Been looking at the b44.1 but by the time bought electrics and controller gonna cost a bit.

Your opinions wold be helpful

Thanks

Having also returned to the sport after 10 years, I can also give good feedback on the 210, its a solid build, I had never heard of team durango either, but it is good kit for the money. I didn't go for RTR, but if monies tight or you want to check its still your bag - it seems def the way to go!!

To be fair mate all the current buggies are much the same in terms of quality and build.

It's more a case of which one will suit your style best as they all handle differently and are more receptive to a certain style of driving than others.

If you are able to give some a test.

I would also say don't rule out the hobao h2. Quality wise it is no less that any other 2wd on the market right now, and the parts are cheap. With its price point it also lends itself to a non rtr setup but still within modest budgets.

I moved over from Durango to Hobao in December and its not a decision I regret at all.

Cheers guys.

It's actually 4wd I want. Sorry didn't mention this at the start. It's a shame team Durango seems good but don't do the rtr in the dex410.

My local club seems to be running b44 derivatives.

Will keep looking and check out link posted.

Just need to buy something!

If money is tight and you are just getting back into it have you considered the 2nd hand market? There are some good deals out there in the oople classifieds or ebay?

If most people at your club are running B44's then I'd defo go for a 2nd hand one of those. You want a car that other people are racing so you can share parts, wheels, set ups etc. Dont buy something that no-one else uses or you could find yourself heading home early from a meeting if you have a breakage.

You'd be able to pick up a cheap B44.1 on here no problems. Parts for them are available just about anywhere. And they work.

Default Thanks

Think I am going for a b44.

Now to find one. If anyone knows a seller give them my details.

Ideally a full kit but if a roller I can source electrics.

Thanks for your help guys

Being on a budget and wanting an rtr is not something I would advise if you're set on 4wd. While it's something to consider in 2wd, if you want to run the high-dollar class you need deeper pockets.... IMHO

What about a caster s10b? About £160 for the rtr and it's brushless and fully upgradable when you want too, it's a decent car, I have 1 myself there is a thread on here with more info

Default new car

if you buy a ready built car with all the electrics and then you get the bug of rc racing most of your equipment will become obsolete imediatly, you can get some great second hand equipmentt hear on oople if you bide your time. Many club members at your local club will sell second hand equipment and can advise on the best car to get. From my experiance 2wd is cheeper to run and more popular at the clubs i race at, for me kyosho all the way

Talking Got it.

Finally bought a b44.1.

Got a reventon pro with 7.5 turn comp 3 motor.

Ran last week on carpet and didn't seem too bad.

Only initial view is a bit floppy in he steering. Seems to have a lot of play.

Is this normal or are there a few tricks to tighten up.

Thanks for all your posts.

mines sloppy too. I swapped the bulkhead which helped. I think the steering knuckles and castor blocks next and service the cvd's. Should fix it I hope.
