just trying to find a solution to give more room and use less power so i can get rid of the capacitor in rx in theory

No it won't FHSS and DSM are not as far as I know compatible Spektrum make their own micro receiver on DSM, I believe FRSKY make cheap FHSS receivers but have no experience just giving some areas to look at,

Found one on hobbyking much smaller than standard and should work well at only $18.50 delivered (about £12). Ill report back and let you know when it arrives
