Default Attn Painters - Shell out for tender

Hello painty people

I am trying to find someone mad enough to take on a shell i want painted - And is likely to lead onto more with the same design.

I have taken my inspiration from the 24h BMW pictured below. What i would like if a white base instead of black. With regards the colours, i would basically like the same design, but made up of 3 shades of blue, and one bright orange.

It doesnt have to be quite as intense, but i would like the whole shell covered with the effect.

Here also is a very poor rendition of how i would envisage it to turn out. Again, a bit more white space is fine, but id still like the blues and orange to be the dominant colours on the shell.

If you are brave enough, and mad enough, please let me know.

Here we go again, people asking painters to choose them. This really isn't how it should be happening. You need to do your own homework.

There are loads of very good painters on here, you should be looking through their threads and thinking if YOU would like to give them your shell and if they're up for the job and it's complexity.

We're all busy enough and generally if you get someone contacting you about a paint job they probably need the work which any good painter won't because he'll be too busy to take things on and do them straight away.

Look through the threads in the first page or so and see who you think is good enough, then contact them and ask if they'd like to do it.

I have actually already done that. I asked the person who I regard as the best painter in the last 10 years and they said no. So I thought I'd offer it out to see if anyone fancied a challenge. I'm not gonna sit here night after night approaching the next person on an ever growing list

In the words of Dragons Den, I'm out, the work involved would make it way to costly and time consuming, so for that, I'm out.

I'd do it, but I want about a year time allowance and it'll cost the price of the 24h BMW to do. Any good for you?

I'm glad you've found someone now but my point was your not happy to waste your time "night after night approaching the next person on an ever growing list", yet you expect us to contact you only to find someone else has said they can do it either quicker or maybe cheaper which would waste our time, doesn't really seem fair does it ?

I think you are missing the point of my original post mate.
At no point have i mentioned time or cost - i simply dont care about either. If it ended up costing 4, 5, 6 shells worth, id pay it. I simply wanted to see if it can be done. If it ends up expensive then it will be a shelf queen. If not then it will be on track.

i asked the one person i knew would have the skills and they turned it down. Based on that i posted to see if anyone fancied a challenge. I didnt ask for credentials or reasons to why someone thinks they are good for the job. I was simply offering someone a challenge if they fancied giving it a go.

i have not found my painter else where. He responded to my post, has an idea on how to tackle it and fancied giving it a go - Which is exactly what i asked for.
