Jamo surround sound

I have a question for any tech heads out there.....The question is can I wire my surround system up to a blue-ray player?.
The reason I ask is my DVD player has packed up so I thought about getting a blue-ray as it plays both formats.

This may be a dumb question but I'm crap with anything like this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

That would depend if your blu-ray has outputs for surround sound.
