Recently bought a Tamiya FF01 fwd touring chassis off a fellow Oopler for £26. I used to race against these in the mid 90s and loved the way they handled on the track (though I never drove one back then). Since acquiring it I have ensured it was fully ball raced and have lightly dremelled the chassis to take lipo.
I have to say that I've never had so much fun on the track - it will handle the brushless/lipo fine and is keeping up with the m-chassis cars, although it does get grip-roll on foams.
There are quite a few of these appearing on eBay, and I'm pretty sure quite a few fellow ooplers have one knocking about in their lofts - if you can get hold of one for a bit of fun I would strongly recommend it
