Is bit to race or just bash ?

Do you want a buggy or something else ?

2wd or 4wd ?

Do you need everything for £175 ? ie,

Car
All electrics
Radio
Batteries
Charger ?

Well a quick ebay search for a B4.1 shows an RTR on auction. You probably need a charger and at least 2 battery packs.

You might squeeze it all in if you bid carefully on ebay or the FS section on oople.

Having said that the auction says its 6 months old but it looks like all the metalwork is rusty. Might have to avoid that one. That's the downfall of buying from pics alone. You could end up with a bit of a lemon. Maybe up the budget for a more established brand or try and find a cheap RTR within budget. LRP twister?

The general advice is to spend a bit (or maybe more than a bit, lol) & get the right gear from the off rather than buy something which you'll soon be itching/needing to upgrade.
2nd hand (off here..) is a good way to build up a good quality race ready buggy but you'd need to know what you're looking for. Or you can buy a good quality new RTR such as a Losi 22 RTR or Durango DEX210 RTR.

But for example, if your budget is limited then you could buy something like this:

2 batteries such as:

http://www.giantshark.co.uk/gens-400...-p-406698.html

And a charger:

This would be about on budget but, the car WILL soon need upgrading (shocks at least) & you'd want a couple of sets of wheels/tyres etc.

get a losi 22 mate, bombproof RTR for about £280? or go on for sale section on here,,,more likely to get a trusted deal than on ebay

when i was asking i was told:
losi 22
durango dex 210
schumacher cougar sv
associated b4.1 or centro

at beginner level my view its get what you want and get racing, as you get better you will want different things and learn more..

im going oswestry and southport next week if you want to jump in

Gav

For your budget, 2wd is the way to go.
There is no issue going second on the car but I'd go new on all the electrics.
To be honest go for a b4 or b4.1.
The reason for this is that its still a fast car and can be upgraded to a centro should your budget allow.
