Just got my hands on the Venom one for long term testing and I have to say that I'm initially impressed!
It's 12v and Mains (using the supplied AC/DC Power Adapter, included in the VEN-0657 Pro version) and appears to be capable of charging all battery types known to man! And to make that even easier Venom include a huge selection of alternative leads with all the popular connectors, including the new Traxxas High Current connector! Slightly limited on Charge Current Range (0.1 - 5.0A) but this only comes into play if you're charging NiCD's or NiMH's and we'll ALL be using LiPo's (if not Polymer or LiFE's) in the not too distant future anyway! Instruction Manual could be a little easier to understand (most of it is visual rather than text) and I defy anybody who can get it all back in the box that it comes in! Other than that, as I said, it looks as though it could be an option. Hope this may help. |
