Default starting up on a small budget! what car?

hi guys only just getting back into the rc scene, ive got an old supershot which i picked up from a car boot that im restoring its not really a racer though. ive been looking for a new buggy on a few sites online, came across model sport uk which seem to have a massive range of cars and at decent prices. the options ive come across are made by ansmann and team c both of which im not familiar as its been a while. looking at the Jerkyll and lupuz from team c and the mad monkey from ansmann you can probably tell im on a very tight budget but any suggestions on those three would be great.

thanks Will

Get the team c lupuz brushless rtr, some lipos and a charger. You could do it for under £200. If you got the brushed one, get nimh packs and charger and bearings. You could go less than £150.

if your gonna spend £200 buy a legend not a copy
Associated B4.1 RTR get the right car first time, in my opinion

In what way is the lupuz/mad monkey a copy? If you are comparing it to the b4 the ansmann/team c is mid motored and a very capable club racer. If you had a tc02c and b4.1 ft with the same electrics the team c would beat it hands down on astro.

say im on a tighter budget than you may think, ive already got the handset and servo, just looking to buy the basic build kit, motor and esc. ive looked at a few older threads and the lupuz is the most modern idea with the mid mounted engine? what motor and esc would you get for the stock car was looking at the model sport uk esc called a sniper 20t auto and looking at the hpi saturn brushed 20t motor. as you can tell im a novice looking at that its gonna cost like 80 quid plus some batteries! just out of interest is the jerky ll apile of rubbish? cheers for quick replies

Jekyll is rear motored, more dirt than astro. Lupuz and bearings would be fine. You get a 21t motor in the kit, and that esc would be perfect. For tyres, schumacher minispike rears and low profile cut stagger fronts.

A bearing kit !! Those kits come with bushings. A bearing kit can be picked up cheaply and will make a significant difference to the car !! Well worth the money
