Default Stubby in an SV2

Can anyone tell me if this is the kit that allows you to fit a stubby in to an SV2

http://www.racing-cars.com/pp/New_Ca...SV2/U4047.html

And any photos of one fitted would be good

thats so you can fit a full size stick lipo in the sv2, you can fit a stubby lipo in the standed car with out any ohter parts it goes at the back across the chassis

I have found sticking a sticky weight in front of the stubby stops it sliding around,as the carbon base plate notches dont quite grab one of my lipos.

I changed to the SV2 from the 22
I had 6 packs of Stubby Packs for the 22 so was more than happy to see they fit in the SV2 with only a little modification to the standard lipo tray.
I only had to remove two carbonfibre stops in the tray then the Stubby's fit in nice and tight !

Thanks fella, do you have any pictures. I want to get some new lipos and the stubbys from hobbyking are calling my name, but I want to make sure the saddles still fit.

Cheers

Hi Ross

I see your booked in for Silverstone tomorrow, I'll be there from 6'ish so feel free to come and have a look at how I've got mine set up (I'll be the one dishing out the membership cards).

I found the car a little unresponsive with the stubby in the standard position and have been trying different things out for month's inc. an elaborate topdeck to move the lipo forward and backwards to shift the weight around (worked great for one week until it snapped). I found a setup that works well for me, car seems balanced and relatively easy to drive with just minor(ish) changes between tracks.

Is there a Lipo retainer available that allows the stubby to be moved forward? The kit retainer only allows the rearward position you show in the photographs.

The Lipo retainer shown in Mark's post above leaves the stubby in kit (rearward) position, albeit more securely.
As I still only have a stubby Lipo for 2wd, I have modified the standard kit nest, to move the stubby forward into the middle of the kit nest.
To help retain the Lipo, I have used the holes in the top deck, to bolt a plastic spacer in place to prevent the stubby moving backwards.

Looks like the battery isn't center. Did you check the L/R balance ?
