Hi
A friend of mine has an early 90's Kyosho Lazer ZXR. Unfortunately he managed to cause serious damage to his front diff and front shock tower while racing me on Saturday ![]() It seems parts for these are quite hard to obtain these days. Anyone able to point me in the right direction? Cheers Steve |

This is really easy one. You can look at radio control zone and they will give a lot of info on that car. But the shock towers are available at fibrelyte.co.uk and the diffs are still available but get the ones for the pure ten. If you look on time tunnels web or ben racing you should find the parts needed to complete the job.

If you've damaged the shock mount it sounds more like you have damaged the front diff case rather than the diff itself. The front diff case has long been discontinued as it was a weak spot on the chassis and are impossible to find.
You can replace it with the Lazer 2000 gear case, which is a replacement but it is made of a weaker plastic that isn't fibre reinforced so you need a Fibre-lyte shock mount that is braced across the top so there isn't the twisting force that rips the shock mount off the diff case. You can still buy Lazer shock mounts from Kyosho but the Fibre-lyte ones are stronger. The Lazer 2000 diff case is LZ4 (B) GEAR BOX FT & RR - L.ALPHA SERIES and can be ordered through Time Tunnel http://www.tamiyaparts.co.uk/tamiyaparts/tpx/kyosho.htm or Benracing.http://www.benracing.co.uk/acatalog/...s_Page_21.html If you need a manual you can download it from here http://www.retromodelisme.com/scan_p...ho-page-1.html

Hey folks, I am resurrecting my old zxr, can anyone tell me if the driveshafts from the ZX5 will fit the R ? I am running a tub chassis with one way diff and the blue speed line UJ covers but the drive shafts top arms and steering mech are all missing :-(

http://www.oople.com/forums/showthre...26223&page=188 However if you got the large front end (using the external hole on the Team Line blue hubs or on the LA59) you will need: - front LA-232 - rear UM-510 bone and LA-231.02 axel Plus some sort of 12mm hex adapter as the OT 19 will not fit (like for example the LA-218 ). Bye Ema P.S. Why don't you put some photos of your car on the other thread ? I'm sure there will be a lot of guys ready to help you restoring your Lazer ![]() ![]() ![]() |
