Default Scale replicas

Well the father-in-law's 70th is approaching and the wife and I thought it would be a nice idea if we could get him a scale reproduction of his MG Midget as a present. I have looked through all the usual die-cast stuff but there doesn't seem to be anything suitable. Most of the stuff I am finding is 1:43 scale and not really what i was after. Does anyone know of a model builder who makes larger scale reproductions or who takes commissions for work? I had a look through all the model magazines at Borders but couldn't find anything in the classifieds at the back. Any help much appreciated.
Cheers, Jon.

Cheers for the links dude. His MG is a 79/80, actually one of the last 500 made! He would probably give his right arm for one of the '40s ones so a model of one would probably wind him up!
I have been going through about a thousand links on glue-it.com but just haven't quite found what we wanted. I have found some U.S sites that do large scale wooden models that were quite cool but not found anything similar on this side of the Atlantic. If all else fails I will go with the old faithful Borders vouchers!

If you want to commission a replica then have a look at Startline Scale Models
http://www.startlinescalemodels.co.uk/

I'd offer my own modelmaking services, but unfortunately I wouldn't be able to start on it for at least 8 - 10 weeks.

Terry that looks exactly what I wanted, thanks for the link. I will contact them about the commission but may p.m. you if things don't pan out. The birthday isn't until September so I have a little time to work this out (hopefully).
