Default LITTER - come on people!

Chaps,

I know the club has got busier and busier this year, but the amount of litter being left behind is inexcusable. Around the pit areas, in the ditch, in the HORSE field.

To be honest disgusting in my view, bet you wouldn't leave it in your own garden.

Litter picking in the rain wasn't fun this afternoon.

So come on racers, show us and the land owner a little more respect. We're trying to run a great club.

You know who you are.....!

Mike

You're right there Mikey. Leaving litter behind IS a SERIOUS issue. If it were my say, I would say that if these people want to leave litter lying around then they're no longer welcome back to our club, take your litter home you disrespectful no goods. Bad manners at the end of the day.

Really, How much effort does it really take to pack a carrier bag, hang it on the edge of your gazebo/pit table, tie it up at the end of the day, bung in your car with everything else and throw it away when you get home?

Answer: NONE.

This is akin to shitting on your own doorstep in my opinion.

If this escalates so that farmers/landowner/councillor feels this, then it's good night Vienna for TORCH.

Sort it out, cos I don't want my club losing another venue because of laziness and lack of respect

Just to follow up on the issue around litter, I've had conversations with the land owner and ever since, we complete a litter pick just for the peice.
My disappointment is that people need to leave half drunken bottles of drink!! Empty fag packets, tissue, tyre bags and tags, crisp wrappers etc. I have an idea of who left their litter from the area it was found!!

If you treat the environment and our facility like a dump, you will be asked to leave!!!

When myself and Daniel spent 10 minutes in the rain picking up others people's waste it can be highly frustrating and disheartening to us that people can expect us to do so!!

Please respect our facility and the people who organise and run the meetings.

Steve

Got to say I have to agree. It was not especially nice for me having to put soaking wet rubbish (mine) in my car to take home. Maybe if I had brought my gazebo everything would not have been so wet. Kit included. But I did take my rubbish with me, as usual. It is not very difficult. Makes you wonder what these peoples homes must be like. Maybe they have someone running around after them clearing up their mess.

Sorry guys I may be at fault here as when I was packing away someone left a half drunk bottle of water on my table which I put on the floor to put my table away. Should have cleared away but didnt now if someone wanted it. If this was still there my bad.

Default Sadly.........

Not everyone is as clean as we would like. I always bring a carrier bag and take my rubbish home, and Sunday i took my 5 pit buddies rubbish home lol, as i had the van with the proper bin inside.
SHRCCC has the same problem, we provide 2 large bins and still there is rubbish left, anf fag butts to. it gets very messy very quickly.

There really is no excuse, its simple to do. put it in a bin. done. put it in a plastic bag. done.
take the bin or bag home, or if you dont want to. ask a comittee member to dispose of it, they will gladly do that if you cant take it home i am sure.
better than leaving in around for club people to pic it up after you.

We are adults, well. mostly....................
