Default Receiver not responding

Hi

I have a problem with my Hbx Stealth X09 Brushless. The receiver is no longer connecting to the transmitter.

When I turn it on, it makes the first "beep", but not the second. So no connection is made. I have tried every setting on the remote, but nothing happens.

Is the receiver toast, or is there anything I can do?

It is the 2010 model / fm-version.

Thanks

I've had issues with 'cheaper' receivers. My 2.4 ghz xp went without warning, when you switched it on the whole car seemed dead. The esc made a strange noise and the servo was clicking and buzzing. I thought it was the esc, but I strapped in a spare receiver and it turned on straight away (I was praying it wasn't the esc as I'm on a tight budget!). So yeah, budget rx's pack up quite quickly, so it should be that.

Ko propo, acoms, any really. I would recommend going 2.4ghz, but the thing with 27mhz and 40mhz now is rx's are very cheap. Remember though, check if you have an fm or am tx/rx, it saves you buying the wrong one!!!
