Default Newbie.......... Tyre & Wheel Sets

Hi

I have an Ansmann Mad Monkey, with X2C upgrade parts. Being a complete newbie, I only run the car at the local recreation ground, using cones either in the tennis courts, car park or grass. I've killed the standard kit tyres, and learnt that I need to get some seperate grass and Tarmac tyres.

Any ideas? Only looking for cheap ones, wheel and tyre sets if possible. Think I need 12mm hex.....

Thanks very much.

This is great, thanks!

It looks like I will need some wheels for these off road tyre, but not sure which ones I need (are 2 and 4 wheel drive the same?).....

i.e. will these fit, or any similar 5 spokes, cheap, for Mad Monkey?

2wd and 4wd share the same size rears.
2wd end up with slimmer fronts than 4wd, but most manufacturers supply one size of front wheel, where you cut a rib off the inside of the wheel to reduce it's width for 2wd.

I haven't used those fastrax you've linked myself, but they seem to be as cheap as anything else. Someone else may be able to tell you if they're worth their salt.

They will work on the rear, for bashing using 2 or 4 wheel drive front rims and tyres won't make a difference
