Rb5 as it doesn't break at the front, plus you then have the great Kyosho quality.
My rb5 lwb vega was v good. |

Have had a RB5 Gen 2 and a 201 Gen 2. To me the RB5 felt the safest of the two, but the Tamiya had better pace over the RB5. Both have done me well all the same!
Geometry of the 201 is virtually identical to that of the B4 so take your pick between AE or Tamiya really... Problems with the kick up breaking off only occured in first batch kits, since then they have nearly doubled in thickness through the bend line and tig welded across the back, theres been zero issues since then as I'm aware.

Thanks for the explanation Will. I was leaning more towards the B4.1 gen 2 but this has given me food for thought !

Rb5, absolutely love it. I'm going to try the rb6 front steering knuckles & uprights and the rear wishbones - which will apparently fit with the rb6 outer hinge pins. That should bring it bang up to date (in theory).
The only thing I know about the others is they all seem to go well, though I'm sure there are subtle performance differences. |

Imperial screw's freak me out, so it was a 201. I allready had lots of Tamiya blue bling which also helped the decision.

I have had the VRB5 and VB4.1 both G2's....
There are pluses and negatives for each of them: 1. Motor Plate Issues - The cars don’t come with a full size motor plate as there like the X6, covered by the shell, which is rubbish as you will get sand and crap in the spur gear at some point, so most people with the VRB5 use the kit motor plate and then cover it with the kit gear cover then with a screw holding the Vega plate to the kit motor plate. The VB4.1 kit motor plate does not fit so I used lexen as you can image this is not the best but does work. 2. The VRB5 does not give you the same amount of cell layouts as the VB4.1. 3. Kyosho parts can be quite expensive including the RB5 kit. 4. B4.1 Server saver is really crap where as the RB5 is very good. 5. The RB5 only comes with plastic wish bones but B4.1 you can choose between three compounds. 6. The VRB5 has more rear end grip that the VB4.1. 7. The VRB5 front end is much more tuneable than the VB4.1 with the world’s front etc. 8. The VRB5 Rear end again is more tuneable with the wide and narrow rear end, the WB pivot hight is more tuneable too 9. The Proline Losi 22 shell fit the VRB5 and looks good. These just my thoughts..... If you asked me know which one I would choose after racing both then defiantly the VRB5 I cannot comment on the 201 though
