New to electric help needed on charging at race meetings

I have just got into electric 1/10th indoor. I have raced nitro for a year now and decided that electric during the winter seems a good idea. I have got myself a Schumacher Cougar and kitted it out but I have got stuck with Lipo batteries.

Now I have both stick 2 cell pack and a 2 cell saddle pack. What I would like to know is how you go on charging the saddle pack at a race meeting, it is easy for the stick pack you just take it out the car and place in the lipo sack and charge it, but how do you put the saddle pack in a charge sack with all the wires staying connected or are you ok to charge the saddle pack with it still in the car. Obviously it is safer to charge in the sack but is it a requirement safety wise that you must charge in the sack at meetings.

Whether or not you have to charge in a sack is a club decision, not a universal rule. I've seen plenty of people charging with the pack still in the car. All the cars survived!

you just put the saddle pack int he bag in exactly the same way you put a stick pack in the bag, there are just more wires......... its not like the wires are loose and easy to jiggle around and pull out (unless you are using incredibly short leads)

If it's a BRCA club then to comply with the BRCA General Rules then a lipo sack must be used whilst charging your main drive battery.

I know the wire aren't that much of a problem but just thought it was more hassle than a std stick pack. Also didn't want to turn up without a lipo sack and feel a plonka.

See if you can make yourself up a long charger lead.

I've just done two, so i can easily get the packs in the bag without having to contort myself. About 30cm long. One dedicated lead for sticks or saddles using 4mm bullets and the balance cables, and another one with a deans on the end so i can charge anything, given the right adaptor.
