I've bought a set of long RPM ball joints for the DEX210 as recommended by a few. Tried to fit one lot last night on a camber lik and they are so tight the arm wont move
![]() How have people used these and managed to loosen them off enough to work and yet be practically tight on the Durango ball joint ? I didn try pinching them with pliars and also working them around the ball end with some silicon lube between them to stop to much heat build up, still no joy ![]() Help as always is appreciated |

I think you need to use different ball studs as well? Not sure which as I run kit but I'm sure I've read that on here somewhere...

Have you changed the ball studs to suit - it doesn't sound like it?!
You can't leave the TD studs on the car & use RPM joints - unless you like them very tight! You need ~4.3mm studs like the schumacher or HPI ones |

I did work out a list of what was needed to do the 210, but i lost it.
![]() I used the Team Associated Ti Ni metric ball studs. Bit on the expensive side, but work well (so far). |

I just got broached longneck 10mm thread length originally only place you need a shorter thread is on the steering rack but i just shortened the 10mm ones. short neck are for horizontal applications but it was just easier to but 2 packs of one than as you said 1 pack of 8 different types.
AS31285 I believe they were.

You just want to be careful when you remove the RPM ballends since they are such a tight fit sometimes they can get damaged while trying to remove them, if you have to do maintenance.

I tend to use them (almost) as single use, if they need to be taken off, they go in the bin. At about 4 dollars for 12, its really not worth mucking about.
(OK, maybe i'll pop them off/on two or three times then chuck them in the bin......) |

i've drilled the ball cup top so you can put a driver through to unscrew the ball joints so no need to pop them off

I find using a set of circlip pliers and slide them under the ball cup, avoids twisting them off whihc causes damage.
