Default 410 & 210 upgrades?

Hi guys I have been looking at the 2 & 4wd durangos.
Are the cars ready to go out of the box, or is there any must have upgrades?

Thanks in advance.

210 is spot on out the box. Mine is standard and I've run it all summer at regionals and club meets and not broken a thing

410

1) The rear gearbox inserts are plastic on the 410 but Durango have beefed up the rear bulkhead so might be ok.

2) The shock preload nuts are plastic so you'll need alloy ones the plastic ones don't have an o-ring so the can move too easily (could probably use the power of thought or wind to adjust them).

3) They've changed the o-rings in the shock bottoms so they leak (replace with Tamiya ones on both cars).

4) Ballcups are still pants, get HPI/3Racing balls and Losi rigid cups mine still have no play after 2 seasons and the standard cups with the kits are like wizards sleeves!

5) The drive hexes are plastic, change them to alloy ones.

210

1) Alloy / Carbon steering plate, the kit one looks very weak. I did even fit mine.

2) Shock preload nuts, reason as per 410.

3) Shock o-rings, reason as per 410.

Im running a 410R, all that has been done to mine is the alloy hangers and i find the car bomb proof, all ide say with the 410 is shimm the gearbox's right.

alot of people run the 210 at our club and you rarley see any brakages. just look at the cream parts

I run machine cut gears, they're well worth it. They've gone up since i bought them when they first came out (I paid £19 each). I kept smashing the front one off jumps etc.
