probably would work but fancy screws arent worth it as they fall out, fall of tables, get lost, break, wear out, just buy a bag of cheap standard ones, thats my opinion anyway

ok. I was just considering them as alot of people seemed to think that the ansmann screws are a bit soft!!??

i built my first ansmann kit at Christmas and used a proper set of aleen drivers and not one screw was soft or rounded off, its all down to the tools that are used

I recently changed all the screws on my monkey with stainless ones. I got all mine from rcmodelfixings.co.uk Dead cheap to so got loads of them just to make free postage.

The reason the kit screws round off is because they are not a true 2mm allen head, but nearer a 5/64 imperial & most people use a 2mm driver which does round the heads.
You can use a 2mm but if they round off, use a 5/64 driver.

I've used Spalding Fasteners before. Ended up spending about the same as most people were selling screw sets for but had loads of spares.
