Default Speed Passion GT Pro 2.1 EX : weird problem

This weekend I had a weird problem with my SP 2.1EX ESC : a few minutes into a run, the car lost power. It kept running but it felt like all timing had gone : the static timing as well as the boost timing. Suddenly it ran like a stock motor.
I was using a SP 8.5 V3 motor and tried a 7.5 motor with the same result. All connections and solderings were checked but couldn't find any problem. I even changed the receiver with no result so it must be the ESC.

ESC is not warmer then usual compared to my GT Pro 2.0 in my 4wd.

I also tried recalibrating the ESC, flashed the software using the USB program box and tried different versions of the SP software.

Anyone else had this problem with the SP 2.1EX ESC ?

Have you checked your motor? Maybe a bearing's gone which is causing your esc to thermal?

As said : changed the motor too. Changed everything except the ESC internals.

After analysing the problem again, I'm beginning to think the ESC resets itself to some kind of ROAR stock mode, as everything it seems to be functioning except the fixed and variable timing. There's also a green LED blinking in the bottom corner of the ESC. I'm flashed the ESC again but installed a MOD software now.

Flashing green LED means either motor or ESC overheat - if it was in blinky mode, the red LED would flash.

I have found the ESC to be sensitive to a bad sensor signal, which is when it reverts to zero timing mode - normally switching it off and then on again resets that fault.

Since you've tried swapping motors and sensor leads already, I wonder whether the problem might be the ESC itself. Fingers crossed your re-flash to a new software will solve the issue.
