Finally got to the point were i need electrics....
the last time i bought leectrics it was brushed and nicad sticks....oh how things have chnaged. just need some pointers in a direction to go with stuff.or links to threads explain such stuff difference between sensored and unsensored?i under stand the motor size ratings lower the number the faster they are. are all lipos compatable with all speedos/motors?i no theres different 'Punch' ratings and sizes? chargers as i lead to belive with lipos is quite important so recomendations on a good charge would be awsome prefeable somthing that balances the packs. once above has been explained any one got any good susgetions of what to be buy?sene loads of speedo motor 'brushless combos' around the web but to be honest theres so many all abit over whealming. the vehicle i will be using said stuff in will be short coarse+ 4WD 1/10 off road and maybe 2WD 1/10.all of these use a saddle setup many thanks liam

The difference between sensored and sensor less is that sensored is a lot smoother as there is 3 different magnets in a brushless motor so when the speedo sends power to the motor it doesn't know where the stator is so it 'cogs' this is when to motor stutters but a sensored combo will not cog as the sensor wire tells the speedo what position the rotor is in so it is very smooth at low speeds
Lipos comes in different cells from 1 cell all the way to 8 cells but nearly all 1/10 systems only work on 2 cell lipo with the exemption of some that work on 3 cell and 1 cell, saddles are 1 cell each, regarding the c rating or 'punch' the higher the c rating the more punch it has but it will discharge the lipo faster, some speedos and motors have limits as to what c rating can be used. A good combo to use is the speed passion esc for about £90 and any of the speed passion motors that range from £30 for the sealed can to about £70 for the competition spec that has adjustable timing and can be rebuilt

Nearly right hpi, one magnet (rotor) 3 windings, in stator, a b c
