Default LA272 arms binding on pivot pins

Hello, I'm just in the middle of rebuilding a Lazer FS2 and I'm finding that the LA272 arms are binding on the inner hinge pin. The wishbones are new and I'm trying both new and unused pivot pins. What do you do here e.g. polish the pins, ream the wishbones or what? Excuse me if this has been covered but I could not find it. Cheers

Is it enough to stop the wishbone assembly drop under its own weight without the shock attached? If not it's nothing to worry about.

Are the hinge pins new? If they are old and slightly bent that will be the problem.

I've had this happen once before, turned out to be some sort of deposit in the pin bores on the wishbones. I sprayed them through with motor cleaner and thentwiseted a hinge pin through them followed by giving them a generous dose of GT85 lube which I let dry before assembly.

Far better this way than coming pre-worn like a lot of the other manufactures!!

Default drill blanks for axles.

Thanks for your replies. They were super smooth after a couple passes with a 3mm reamer and a bit of GT85. A couple of the old pins were very slightly warped.

I wonder has anyone used 3mm drill blanks for axles? I use them on my old Procat. They're a little cheaper and harder than the original pivots.

I had the exact same problem when building my SV2. One front wishbone was slightly binding and didn't drop under its own weight. I tried the reamer and GT85 but that didn't work for me so I then sanded a mm off the outer edge of the wishbone itself and now it's perfect. Just something else to bear in mind if the reamer doesn't work. In my case it wasn't the hole itself that was the issue, the wishbone was a little right up against the hinge pin holder.

And the opposite of binding is sloppy

One of my suspension mounts is worn. Does anyone have one of these spare please?

Alternatively, what do you think of the 3-Racing alloy ones?
