Default HobbyWing XeRun 1S repairs?

Hi,

My XeRun 1S fried itself last night, seems like the timing/sensor has gone, as it keeps dropping out of drive, turn the wheel one 'notch' on the motor and it will then drive. Will also work if given a little shove.

Anyone know where I can send this for repair? UK distributor maybe? It's an imported speedo, so no warranty claim for me!

Have you tried a different motor/sensor cable on it as it could be either of these? If not we can return on your behalf too them for repair obviously at a cost though

If you have to rotate the motor a notch to get it to run then you've lost a bank of FETs on one of the phases.

I'm afraid it's repair/replacement time depending on if it can be repaired

Wont The FETS fire no matter what position the motor is in ?

If you have to rotate it to get it going youve lost some form of the sensor, either in the motor, in the cable, or in the speedo.

You can email hobbywing direct this may help.

Hi John,

I spoke to you briefly yesterday, and will be sending it back to you ASAP. THanks for the excellent response, it's nice to know that you can help even though I was naughty and got it from the far east

Thanks in advance,

Robin
